ALIVE Inc. was founded in the later 1970’s by a group of citizens concerned about battered women and their children. In 1981 ALIVE acquired the building we are currently housed in through a donation from the Catholic Diocese. Over the years, ALIVE has expanded its services to meet the needs of our community. Our services now include: emergency sheltering, 24 hour crisis hotline, court and legal advocacy, housing and financial advocacy support groups and community education.
It is the mission of ALIVE Inc. to provide safe alternatives to living in a violent environment. It is further our mission to provide emergency sheltering, 24 hour crisis hotline, and advocacy services to all victims of domestic violence and their children. ALIVE strives to educate our citizens about domestic violence.
